Friends of St Colman’s End of Year Newsletter 2016/17

 

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year in our fundraising events

This is what we got up to this year!

 

  • Halloween Disco and Activities
  • Christmas Fayre Laurencetown Community Centre – Children’s Christmas baubles, School Calendars, Hamper Raffle and Guess Teddy’s name
  • Christmas School Disco
  • Tesco Bag Pack
  • Bingo Night
  • Easter Hamper Raffle

 

And what we have put our funds towards for our Children and their School

  • Cameras for all classrooms
  • Playground Markings

 

Total raised this year: £2437.45

Total spending this year: £ 2517.74

 

And what we are working towards achieving with the money raised in the new school year:

 

  • Storage for p3/p4 Classroom
  • New Fencing for P1/2 Playground
  • Sponsorship of new School Sports Kit
  • Outdoor Play equipment & much, much more

We have lots to plan for and do next year and we rely on the help and generosity of all our school families, friends, businesses and the local community.

 

  • We are currently seeking sponsorship of our new Sports Kit, if you are a local business or individual and would like to sponsor or part sponsor the new kit we would love you to get in touch with any of the current sitting members of the Friends Group listed below.

 

  • We are also pricing for work to be carried out on the P1 playground, including the removal, provision and installation of the fence and gate, if you are a qualified tradesperson and would like to quote for this work please get in touch with us (details below or contact school office)

 

Look out for text alerts about our new Uniform Recycling Scheme and the Sal Shoes appeal over the next few days.

Over the Summer Holidays remember to gather up all unwanted items of clothing, shoes, curtains etc and save them for our Cash For Clobber Scheme in school.

 

The Friends Group are also planning some exciting activities for Christmas so if you have broken crayons or crayons that you are clearing out please hold onto them until September and send them into school to be collected, you will be surprised what can be done with the unwanted broken bits!
